Wellington Phoenix v Sydney FC
Team news: Wellington - Sigmund (susp.), Muscat (susp.), Paston (OUT), Greenacre (IN) -- Sydney - Bridge (OUT)
Verdict: Wellington will look to set a new A-League record as they try and make it 15 games unbeaten on home soil, a record currently held by their opponents today, Sydney FC. Wellington will need to do it the hard way as they have many injury and suspension concerns to key players, all in defence. Sydney were in fine form last week in their disposal of North Queensland, breaking their 3 game losing streaking with a crushing 4-1 win. The good news is that former Socceroo, John Aloisi, made his long awaited return to the team and also got himself on the scoresheet. Sydney's combination play in forward positions was excellent so if they can replicate that form here, the Sky Blues should have too much for Wellington's reshuffled backline. On a side note, Wellington will play away from their regular venue as a commercial exercise which may indeed neutralize their home advantage.
Pick: Sydney FC DNB @1.99 (sbobet, 6 units)
Wellington 0 - 1 Sydney FC
