Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United
Verdict: Two of the highest scorers in the A-League do battle as improving Melbourne Victory look to inflict a first defeat on league leaders Adelaide United. Melbourne has had the indian sign over their cross town rivals in past seasons but this Adelaide side boasts the attacking talent of Leckie, Flores, Van Dijk, and Ramsay who have amassed 15 goals between them this season.
Last time out, Melbourne gave high-flying Brisbane a scare but were undone by a late Solorzano strike to eventually lose 2-1. Adelaide United scored a quick fire 3 goals in the space of 6 minutes to overcome Wellington Phoenix, despite been second best for most of the first half. Either way, both sides will field attacking players in form. Adelaide United have kept one clean sheet on their travels this season whereas Melbourne's defence and goalkeeper are extremely vulnerable.
Pick: Over 2.25 goals @2.01 (188bet, 10 units)

Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar
Verdict: Sydney FC finally got their first win for the season last weekend, defeating a hapless Perth Glory 0-3 and inflicting upon them their 6th consecutive defeat. Brisbane ended their busy run of three games in the space of seven days with a hard fought 2-1 win over the visiting Melbourne Victory. Brisbane continue to play arguably the most attractive football in the league and deservedly sit in second behind runaway leaders Adelaide United. Despite a strong showing by Sydney on the weekend, they still remain bottom, a single point behind Newcastle Jets.
After a busy week and fruitful one at that, collecting 7pts from a possible 9, a well rested Brisbane will go to Sydney in a confident frame of mind. Yes, Sydney were convincing winners on the weekend but then again, Perth has been very poor in the last six weeks. The away team is playing the much better football at the moment and will side with them against a motivated Sydney side.
